Frog Design LED Bulb

Frog Design has come up with this LED bulb which might just help make the world a greener place – only just. Instead of using CFLs that aren’t too environment-friendly no thanks to their content of electronics, plastics and mercury within, LEDs are the future thanks to a more efficient and longer lasting qualities. In addition, if more and more consumers adopt LEDs as their main light source of choice in homes and offices, it will definitely create economy of scale where the savings will eventually trickle down to the consumers themselves. Also, LEDs are simple to package and this concept design features a traditional glass enclosure (fragile, I must say) packaging accompanied by screw-fit contacts to reduce the total carbon footprint.
