There are many DSLR cameras that still use compact flash (CF) cards and with the popularity of burst shooting and/or RAW uncompressed photos, users might be looking for faster CF cards. Sandisk is launching a 32GB CF card that can reach a theoretical speed of 30MB/sec (200x) (read and write). If you save ordinary .jpg files, you can probably find a CF card that is cheaper for the same capacity. Besides photography, HD digital video recording might be another application that benefits from the extra capacity and speed, depending on the quality. The 32GB SanDisk Extreme III CompactFlash will be available in October for $300 (MSRP)
