Samsung Updates BD-P1500 Blu-ray Player

Samsung has issued an update for its BD-P1500 Blu-ray player that will feature Live-capable firmware. In order to update the firmware, you can do so through the player’s graphical user interface or via Samsung’s website. Needless to say, there is much more work involved in the latter route as you will then need to burn the downloaded update onto a CD before BD Live can be enabled. A BD Live-equipped Blu-ray player for less than $300 might help boost Blu-ray sales, although I think that the PS3 will still be the main mover where players are concerned.
