
To celebrate the 10 years of Gran Turismo, the team that developed the game (Polyphony) added some tiled rendering code to get four PS3s to render the game in 3840×2160. It’s a classic way to scale resolution up, and as you can imagine, the sharpness was amazing. Of course, you need the right projector for the job: in this instance, the SRX-110, which costs north of $80,000 the last time I checked (and I don’t check every week).
