You know you’re in the 21st century when even young kids have a SMS Text Messenger/Organizers to help them manage volumes of SMSes that they receive from their friends. Available in a slider form factor that somewhat resembles a UMPC, this $35 device is able to receive or send text messages from and to each other within a 50 foot radius. A modern walkie-talkie, so to speak. Powered by a couple of AAA batteries, other features found on this device include password protection and organizer functions such as an address book and memo pad. Imagine a classroom with every child having one of these – the poor teacher will have a hard time getting the attention of everyone!
