Webcam, Digital Picture Frame.. and a clock?

Occasionally we see gadgets that combine almost too many devices into one. Here is another one with a very interesting look. Montgomery Ward is selling this Webcam that includes a digital picture viewer, clock and even shows the temperature. The futuristic design is nice, it looks a little comical and loud with the bright red color contrasting the silver. It appears the webcam is tilt-able from the mount in the picture, though I am not sure from the product description. It does state that the Webcam and frame both use a rechargeable battery, which is a little odd to me. Why would the webcam need a rechargeable battery if it could just be powered off the USB port like most cams?
