Western Digital moves away from their bread-and-butter product for a moment to release the TV HD Media Player, touted to “turn your USB drive into an HD media player, allowing you to watch your favorite HD movies on your TV.” All you need to do is insert your USB flash drive or USB-powered hard drive and you’re able to play compatible movie files directly from either device in resolution of up to 1080p (full HD), thanks to the included HDMI/composite outputs. It is highly portable with 1.6″ x 4.9″ x 3.9″ dimensions, and for $129.99, it is cheap enough for an impulse purchase.
