Game Boy Pocket Gets Backlight Magic

We’re pretty sure that during the Game Boy’s heydays, many people have wished for a version that comes with a backlight but Nintendo continues to disappoint until the Game Boy SP. Well, sometimes necessity drives you to do crazy things like Michael “Bibin” Moffitt, who decided to create his own backlight for his precious Game Boy Pocket. Michael went about this project by removing the reflective layer and adhesive behind the display, inserting a LED backlight and some perspex followed by a diffusive layer. There is no major drain on the battery life, making this one cool mod. Too bad you’ll need steady hands to work this one out for yourselves.
