TV Stand With Speakers

[CES 2009] We’ve seen tons of convergence devices hit the market already, and there have been winners and losers so far. I was perusing through the South Hall and stumbled across this TV stand with built-in speakers. Heck, it even comes with a USB 2.0 port to boot, allowing you to plug in your USB flash drive that contains audio for playback over the TV speaker stand itself. Features include :-

• 5.1 channel with subwoofer
• SD memory card slot
• USB 2.0 connectivity
• Integrated FM tuner
• Optional coaxial and optical input

No idea on pricing, but these look rather tacky IMHO and wouldn’t make its way into the homes of those who are serious about their audio system. Perhaps folks who are on a tight budget might want to take a look at these, but you won’t find it to be the next big thing.
