BlackBerry is back with yet another model to satisfy all you email fans out there – the BlackBerry 9300, also known as the Gemini. No, you won’t get a couple of these in a twin set for the price of one, but this 3G smartphone will feature the following improvements over its predecessors (in particular the BlackBerry 8900) :-
- Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE
- Tri-band UMTS/HSDPA
- Larger and better resolution display
- Faster processor
- Silver exterior ala BlackBerry 8830
- Rounded keyboard
It would make sense to assume that RIM has included Wi-Fi and GPS in the Gemini, although that has yet to be confirmed. No idea on price, but we’re looking at a probable Q4 ’09 ir Q1 ’10 release date. You can wait for a year if you’re not desperate to upgrade your BlackBerry.
