[Mobile World Congress] Huawei is a disappointment at the MWC ’09 as they displayed a non-working prototype of their future Android phone there. It looks as though most of the design cues were taken from the iPhone, and it will be interesting to see how the near button-less form factor work with a standard Android interface. Apparently, Huawei let it slip that they will be working with an “established design consultancy” in order to roll out its own custom interface for the device. Look out for this mystery handset in Q3 this year. No carrier has been decided yet although Huawei is currently negotiating with a carrier to rebrand the device.
