Plastic Logic To Roll Out Content Store

Amazon might have announced its Kindle 2 to take over from its hugely successful predecessor, but Plastic Logic is not going to throw in the towel by letting all and sundry know that they will roll out a content store simultaneously as its eReader hits the market. The store will carry content from major publications including USA Today and the Financial Times, alongside content aggregators such as Zinio, Ingram Digital and LibreDigital. The eReader from Plastic Logic could be found at last month’s CES in a prototype form factor, and apparently initial impressions were above average with its thinness and easy reading technology thanks to a 8.5″ x 11″ plastic display and touchscreen capability. Hopefully with strong hardware, a decent library will be afforded, otherwise it will end up as a cripple.
