VMware has done what would be deemed as impossible by some – running both Windows CE and Google’s Android side-by-side on a single mobile device. This is made possible thanks to “Mobile Virtualization Platform (MVP)” technology, where part of it is a “hypervisor” that weighs in at just 20KB or so in size. VMWare claims their MVP technology is now being evaluated by handset manufacturers, so we could see some pretty interesting systems and devices in the near future if this fad takes off, allowing users to get the best of both worlds without forking out extra money for another device.
