DIY HDD Clock

Have a little extra time on your hands with no idea on what to do? Well, if you happen to be pretty handy with DIY projects, might we suggest making new timepieces out of old and retired hard drives? Using an actual 3.5″ hard drive, these can be converted into a desk clock complete with quartz drive movement to let you know that the MBTF of the hard drive has long expired, and everything has an end. In addition, those who are more sensitive will definitely take a look at the time and remind themselves that the next data backup routine is due. Too bad there are no numerals stating the current time, so you’ll have to make an educated guess each time you steal a glance.
