Mosquitoes Zapped With Laser

Scientists are working on mosquito laser that could potentially zap these nasty critters out of the sky with pinpoint accuracy, ensuring instances of mosquito-borne diseases will be reduced in an effective manner. The main target of the scientists would be malaria, as this disease has yet to be effectively controlled especially in developing countries. Building the mosquito laser does have its fair of challenges though – one must make sure the laser is weak enough to kill the mosquito, not shoot useful bugs and remain harmless to humans. We would like to see a quad-cannon version for use in the tropics where these bloodsuckers have a notorious reputation.
