Rumors are swirling concerning the soon to-be-released Canon D1 Mark IV digital SLR camera, and some of them include a 1.3x crop sensor as well as the ability to shoot images in 16-megapixel glory. Not only that, an sRAW1 format allows the shooting of 8-megapixel images which are touted to be superior to those shot by the 1D Mark III where detail levels are concerned. As for ISO sensitivity, you get a range from 50 to 26,500. The 3″ LCD display supposedly hails from the 5D Mark II itself, accompanied by HD video recording capability and a minor rearrangement of buttons for improved ergonomics. The Canon D1 Mark IV is tipped to be released later this August for a yet undisclosed price.
