Pentax has released yet another Optio digital camera known as the Optio W80, and in line with many other consumer electronics, this diminutive shooter measures a mere 1″ in thickness despite packing in a 12.1-megapixel sensor, a 5x internal optical zoom, a wide-angle 28mm lens and a SuperProtect coating that is touted to repel water, grime and fingermarks from the len’s crystal cover. You can use the Optio W80 up to 16 feet deep, and it is capable of handling extreme cold, dust and drops of one meter at most. Other features of the Optio W80 include a 2.5″ LCD display, a 720p movie mode, face detection and optical image stabilization. If you’re going to cough up $299.95 for one of these, make sure you’re in love with Cardinal Red, Azure Blue and Gunmetal Gray colors.
