
Options are limited when it comes to video recording on older iPhones, but the Camcorder app supposedly solves the problem by enabling video recording on these older devices [itunes link]. The online reviews aren’t great however: the frame rate is low and the audio is just “ok” according to tuaw. That’s why Apple never released their own camcorder apps for iPhone and iPhone 3G. The main advantage of Camcorder is that it has been approved by Apple. Better apps that are not in the store do require a jailbreak, which most users don’t want to deal with.
