Getting enough and quality sleep is important for most folks, and Tanita knows this – hence their sensor-equipped mat which is capable of measuring just how deep your sleep is. When placed under your mattress, it will keep track of your body’s motion throughout the sleeping time, where it will also be able to check out your breath rate and pulse as well. All relevant data will be downloaded and stored onto an SD/SDHC memory card which can be analyzed later on via a piece of software that is bundled with Tanita’s offering. Tanita hopes to introduce the Sleep Scan mat in Japan this May for $395, so we’re interested in knowing when it will arrive Stateside.
