A whole gang of students that comprise of Arnoud den Besten, Kristo de Pooter, Sam Vesters and Thomas leterme from Artesis University College of Antwerp came up with what they dubbed the “Beat on the Block” – a drum glove system which is able to create surround sound of a full drum kit anytime, anywhere. Your task is pretty simple – just tap the musical gloves on a flat surface, where the gloves themselves are connected to a specially designed speaker backpack which will recreate the sound. Apart from that, the interactive glove system will also enable multiple users to work in tandem, letting them conjure their own cacaphonic masterpiece to annoy everyone else around them.
