Etymotic Ships Its New Earphones And Headphones

Etymotic has begun to ship some of its latest headsets that were introduced at CES. The headsets include the hf3 headset, etyBLU2 Bluetooth headset, its entry-level MC-5 earphones and MC-3 headset. There is also its Custom-Fit Earmold Program, which allows users to get special eartips modeled specially for their ear.

The hf3 claims to bring the best accuracy and noise reduction in its class, and offers a three-button in-line remote along with a built-in microphone, which will allow you to have a conversation with other folks. Four eartips are included with it, and it’ll set you back $179.

The etyBLU2 Bluetooth headset offers 30dB of noise cancellation at the microphone, along with 30dB for the earphone, offering you a clear audio experience when speaking or listening. It also sports a flexible boom and a bi-directional microphone. The ability to pair with up to two Bluetooth devices at the same time will be a feature that businessmen out there would probably appreciate, and you’ll have to be willing to pay $129.

The MC-5 and MC-3 offer a unique chamber design that is supposed to act like a three-band equalizer, and sports 8mm neodymium magnet drivers. The MC-5 lacks a microphone, a handicap that the MC-3 does not share. They’re priced at $79 and $99 respectively.

Finally, the Custom-Fit program is priced at $100 for each Etymotic earphone set, and it’ll do a good job of sealing the ear perfectly. You’ll need to schedule an appointment to get an impression of your ear first, after which you’ll need to wait two to three weeks for the earmolds to be completed.
