Neato XV-11 cleaning robot ships

We have seen the XV-11 in action at CES 2010 as a prototype but now, the Neato XV-11 is finally shipping to customers and the first units should be delivered in early July. It costs around $400. If you have missed the previous Neato coverage, the Neato XV-11 has a mapping system that should help it work efficiently as it does not follow a random cleaning pattern — like competitors often do. That also ensures that the whole surface has been cleaned at least once. Neato XV-11 has also been designed to clean corners efficiently. This is also a weakness from previous generations of cleaning robots. Neato Robotics is a company based here in Silicon Valley. Neato’s video is in the full post.
