iPhone Developer Boasts $1400 In Revenue From iAd In One Day

Will Apple’s iAd service put a frown on the faces of folks over at Google? An iPhone developer who developed the application that will turn the iPhone 4′s built-in LED light into a flashlight is boasting some rather juicy figures. According to him, he grossed just under $1,400 on 9,300 ad impressions with an 11.8% click-through rate, and that’s in one day. Of course, you’ll need to take into account that the app was downloaded about 9,000 times in one day too, which is also an impressive feat. Will iAd be able to keep up this momentum and keep developers happy, or do you think that it’s just because iAd is fairly new and folks are checking it out?
