Pioneer Unveils Web-enabled Blu-ray Players

Seems like Pioneer doesn’t want its Blu-ray players to be left behind in the times, as the company has put some pretty nifty features into its latest BDP-330 and BDP-LX53 players. These players are capable of playing YouTube videos and also RSS feeds, thanks to Internet connectivity provided via its onboard Ethernet port, or optional Wi-Fi USB dongle. These players can internally decode high-resolution Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound and are BD-Live-ready. Another useful feature of these players is that it supports the iControlAV app, which allows the iPhone and iPod touch to control these players wirelessly via Wi-Fi. The Pioneer BDP-330 and BDP-LX53 will be priced at SGD399 ($289) and SGD549 ($398) when launched in Singapore.
