CDMA iPhone 4 Is Codenamed The N92 And Is Nearing Production

Rumors of a CDMA iPhone have been going around for ages, but now it seems that the rumors have gained a little more credibility. Following recent reports that Apple had placed a large order of CDMA chipsets from Qualcomm, word is out that the device is known internally as the N92 and is already at the Engineer Validation Test (EVT) stage and is on track for the rumored Verizon January launch date. Of course, until Apple or Verizon decides to come out and confirm the whole deal, it’s going to stay a rumor, so you’ll have to take it with a pinch of salt. That being said, maybe history will repeat itself and an upcoming iPhone will be lost/found again. In the meantime, you can check out our comprehensive iPhone 4 review to figure out what all the fuss is about.
