Amazon announces Kindle for the Web beta

Bring your ebook reading to the next level with Amazon’s beta release of Kindle for the Web – where it will allow one to sample new Kindle books and authors directly via web browsers as its name suggests.

Not only that, Amazon will also enable both bloggers and website owners who participate in the Amazon Associates Program to be part of Kindle for the Web by embedding samples of Kindle books on their websites.

To put it in layman’s terms, Kindle for the Web allows readers to read the first chapter of Kindle books for free without the need for any download or installation, now how about that? Will it spur more people to take up ebooks as the next big thing?
