Motorola’s CEO, Sanjay Jha, is hoping that the big M will be ready to introduce its Android-powered tablet sometime early next year. While he credited Android with helping to boost the company’s position in the smartphone market, it was suggested that the latest version of Google’s mobile OS does not currently offer the attributes necessary for tablet use, a sentiment that was echoed from Google’s camp recently. It was also mentioned that the tablet market was seen as an opportunity, rather than a competitor to smartphones. With hints of the Motorola Stingray going around recently, we hope that Motorola will be able to keep its target to release the tablet early next year.
