Olive Media O3HD music server

Olive Media’s most recent release, the O3HD music server does look easy on the eyes and good thing it is also highly functional. Targeting a niche crowd who want a glorified jukebox, the “affordable” HD music server (relatively speaking, of course) known as the O3HD will go for $999 a pop. There was no word on how much storage space it holds, but 1,500 CDs should be about right. Of course, if you have money to splash around, forking out double the amount would net you the O4HD model that holds four times as many CDs in terms of data storage. The most ideal situation would be to rip all discs straight to the system, storing them under the lossless file format known as FLAC while playing them back over 24-bit DAC. A color-enabled touchscreen display is located upfront to keep up with the times, while other specifications include internet radio support and a gratis iPhone/iPad controller application.
