Verizon Wireless to drop prepaid prices?

This just in – apparently, Verizon Wireless could very well lower its unlimited nationwide calling daily prepaid price plan from $3.99 per day by two dollars, letting it hit $1.99 daily instead. This might just spark off a price war among other carriers, which is good for the consumer, but hopefully with lower prices and logically speaking, higher usage of the network’s bandwidth, we do hope that connection quality will not be affected adversely. The new pricing will definitely find favor with those who do plenty of talking, but as for folks who prefer texting as their primary method of communication over a phone, there is a bit of bad news – the service has doubled in pricing, hitting $0.20 per message. Guess you can’t have your cake and eat it too, eh?
