Sony’s NEX-5 camera is definitely a looker, but if you want it to stand out even more, LEGO bricks might be able to come to your rescue. Somebody out there decided to create a LEGO viewfinder for the camera and he’s also came up with a LEGO shutter release. The creator of this mod is aptly dubbed “cubie”, and the shutter release involved soldering a few IR LEDs to a headphone jack and positioning them to sit on top of the camera’s IR sensor. When the right sound is played through the audio patch cable, the picture is then taken. Sounds overly complicated, but it’s hard to object to adding LEGO bricks to items.
