Some quarters think that the Motorola XOOM (3G version) is rather overpriced, but perhaps there is some form of redemption with the Wi-Fi only model, as retailer PC World in the UK has just listed the device for $730 on pre-order, making it around $100 cheaper compared to the equivalent pricing of the 32GB Wi-Fi-only iPad. In fact, this would make it on the same level as the Wi-Fi-only entry-level iPad 16GB, although that would mean having another 16GB of storage space at the same price point. With such competitive pricing, it would be interesting to see how things pan out – but the game will change considerably when the iPad 2 hits the market.
