Remember our earlier coverage concerning the HTC Puccini, yet another tablet from the smartphone manufacturer which will continue where the HTC Flyer has left off? That is what Digitimes seem to imply with their report that large scale production will be starting from June onwards, so shipping ought to commence even later on. Currently, it seems as though the HTC Puccini is undergoing its final testing stages, and here’s a wish of good luck to them that they will get everything sorted out soonest possible.

The 10.1″ will be powered by a Qualcomm MSM8660 1.5GHz processor, with Android 3.0.1 being the operating system of choice. The touch panel on the HTC Puccini will feature both resistive and capacitive touch technologies, while its touch pen will also play nice on specified software and areas. It is reported that AU Optronics will supply HTC with the 10.1″ touch panels, with Wintek as another supplier. As for their 7″ panels meant for the Flyer, Cando and Wintek are the suppliers.

All we need to do now is look out for a FCC report or filing of the HTC Puccini come this June and it is time to start convincing the missus that you just need a new tablet for this “one last time”.
