Most journalists might be comfortable with where they are at the moment, but those who cover wartime stories might not be that lucky as sometime to get up close and personal in the action, some are maimed or even killed. Hardly surprising since they were trained to sniff out a story instead of dodging bullets – which is why creators of the upcoming game known as “Warco” intends to introduce a simulated experience which intends to assist real journalists train themselves in surviving while capturing a story in a warzone.

Tony Maniaty’s idea certainly has valid reason to be fleshed out – after all, this seasoned Australian journalist has already seen five of his TV colleagues killed in the past, and it is something that he hopes no one else has to go through in the future. Teaming up with Morgan Jaffit and Defiant Development, they intend to roll out a virtual experience which leans more towards high-end military simulations instead of those skewed popular games in the market.

Should the Warco game actually prevent a single journalist from being sent home in a body bag, then it would have deemed to be a success. What do you think?
