Stereoscopic 3D seems to be the way to go these days, just see how even smartphones come with 3D displays, not to mention portable game consoles as well as your gamut of Smart TVs in showcase galleries that intend to make entertainment all the more immersive. How about recording your very own 3D movies? Sony intends to do that by finally making available their 3d binoculars, the DEV-5 (retails at $1,999.99) and DEV-3 models, where the former will be bridge new frontiers by bringing together the magnification capabilities of binoculars with the recording capabilities of a camcorder.

Boasting high magnification of up to 20x total zoom (10x optical and 10x digital) and a couple of Full HD sensors, you can capture incredible 1920×1080 3D or 2D Full HD video, depending on your mood at that particular moment. Heck, even a built-in GPS receiver has been thrown into the mix so that you are able to view your current location on the LCD map display. Check out the full video of it below.
