A couple of years ago, we looked at the possibility of the Exmobaby being realized, and boy has time passed. I am happy to say that the Exmobaby is a success – where this next generation “smart garment” line of apparel was specially designed for newborns and infants. Each garment under the Exmobaby line will boast sensor technology that is capable of monitoring baby’s vital signs and movement, where its fully integrated capabilities have been built in to the clothing and apparel. Communication is done wirelessly as the Exmobaby garments will keep a close tab on baby’s condition throughout the day, in addition to the bane of new parents – during the critical night time sleep.
Parents will always be in on the loop of their newborns through text messages (SMS) and email alerts that are sent – it does not really matter just which platform you receive those, but I would say in this day and age, the smartphone would be a pretty good choice. All alerts will show up automatically in real time as baby’s movement and vital signs change, and parents need not spend more energy through additional or constant monitoring.
