Here is a little bit of “Inception” that you can perform on yourself, thanks to a new app known as Yumemiru (translated as ‘see the dream’ from Japanese), where it will help you sleep better since you can choose different scenarios to dream about. No idea on what kind of sorcery is used here, but it will rely on sound to influence your thoughts as you retire for the night and are already in deep sleep. The free app comes with 8 different scenarios for you to delve into, ranging from a walk in the forest (I wonder if there will be any ninjas in that dream), chilling out at the beach, one of everyone’s favorites – getting rich, flying around like Superman, or even to dream about love (with special dreams tailored for the different genders). Of course, your partner might not be too pleased ot hear a young girl’s voice whispering phrases like “I love you”, “I want to hold your hand” and “I want to be with you” in your ear all night, right?

Seems to be one for those who are part of the Lonely Hearts Club. Of course, it would be better if there were different scenarios for a dream that we could download, and what happens when one of us is able to be the dream architect at will without the need for external stimuli? Seems creepy this, and could it eventually be hacked to perform mind control on subjects? So many questions, so few answers. The million dollar question is this, “Does it work or not?”
