When one talks about a Blu-ray external copier, we would most probably have ‘expensive’ and ‘slow’ as the adjectives of choice in our minds. I guess sometimes, the door is always left open to interpretation, as evidenced by the Acronova Nimbie USB Plus. This unique device is capable of stashing away information or huge files, and burning up to a century of Blu-ray discs consecutively, helping you “work” while you sleep so that you can wake up to a stack of Blu-ray discs that is ready to be distributed amongst your friends and family members. And just to show that Acronova is very much in touch with the actual working environment, they know that Blu-ray discs have plenty of space, so why not include USB 3.0 support into the Acronova Nimbie USB Plus so that huge files can be transferred to it in a jiffy? Basically, this puppy is touted to burn a full length Blu-Ray disc three times as fast (12x vs. 4x) when compared to USB 2.0 models, where it takes just 2 hours to burn 10 Blu-ray discs. Not only that, there is also an integrated disc testing and rejection system, where it is smart enough to separate the wheat from the chaff after the burning process. No idea on pricing though as at press time.
