Back when Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich was announced in 2011, one of the cosmetic changes that was brought over onto the device was the Roboto font. While the font had its critics and fans, for those who enjoyed the font and would like to download it for use on your computer, well Google has decided to release the font for your enjoyment. Basically the font will play nice with any computer that has the ability to use TrueType fonts, and best of all, unlike some fonts which come with a price tag attached to it, Google keeping to their roots, has released the Roboto font for free. The font will come with several different modifications, i.e. bold, italics, etc and there’s even a specimen book which basically shows the font being used in a variety of examples.
