AT&T subscribers who own the HTC Vivid will be pleased to hear that the device will be getting an unofficial bump to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich courtesy of XDA forum member, Pirateghost, who as uploaded a flashable Android 4.0.3 ROM with HTC Sense 3.6 on it alongside AT&T bloatware, making the whole affair feel like a proper AT&T/HTC update.

According to its developer, there are a couple of caveats that you should be aware of before proceeding, so for the further details and the download link, pop on over to the XDA forums. Remember, proceed at your own risk, but if you’d rather not take the risk with the unofficial ROM, we’d like to remind you that HTC did announce that Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich will be rolling out to the HTC Vivid in the coming weeks, possibly with Sense 3.6 and an updated version of Beats Audio.

However if can’t wait or if you’d like a taste of Ice Cream Sandwich to see what it will be like, then perhaps the ROM might be a good place to start.
