Sometimes when we drive over to a friend’s house to pick them up, not all of them are ready and we usually have to go down, ring the doorbell to let them know we’re there, or we can call them, which sometimes could mean digging through your address book looking for their number. Well if you find that practice annoying, in the words of Apple, there’s an app for that.

Introducing the Pocket Doorbell app which will use your location data (will require you to fill up the address portion of your friend’s contact) to determine when you’ve arrived at a friend’s place. When it detects that you have arrived said address, it will call up your friend’s phone number where pressing the “doorbell” will either have the app send a text or make a call on your behalf. It is a pretty novel app and to be honest it’s really not that big of a deal to scroll through your address book to get your friend’s number, but for those on the lookout for new ways to be extra efficient, the Pocket Doorbell app will set you back $1 and is available on the iTunes App Store.
