Sure there are budget tablets out there like Amazon’s Kindle Fire, but what if you’re particularly tight on cash, what do you do? Well the good folks at ShanzhaiBen have an exceptionally cheap Android tablet for you guys in the form of the ESER tablet priced at $51. So what will you be getting for your $51?

Well for starters you can expect to find a 7” 800×480 resistive touchscreen (yes, you read that right). The tablet will also sport a 1.2GHz BoxChip CPU under the hood, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot, WiFi, HDMI out, USB and a front-facing camera (it seems that a rear-facing camera has been omitted, probably to save costs).

Unfortunately it appears to be running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box instead of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, but for $51 we can’t really complain. 3G connectivity is available although you will need to connect via a USG dongle. Now reportedly the tablet will also be able to decode 2160p videos – not sure how many of you guys watch 2160p videos to begin with, but for those that do, this tablet should be able to handle it. More information on the tablet can be found at ShanzhaiBen’s website.
