Yes, we do know that the Sony Xperia S smartphone (which is Sony’s flagship device at this point in time, complete with all the relevant bells and whistles, of course), will be getting an Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update in due time, although there is no specific date mentioned just yet. One thing is for sure, the signs are all there to confirm the release of this operating system update, as a video of the Sony Xperia S running on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has already been spotted online which you can watch above.

It looks like Sony did preserve their custom launcher on Android 4.0.4, while teaching this relatively young metaphorical dog a couple of new tricks to it. A new Walkman music player and a new Gallery have been thrown into the mix, where the both seem to support gestures which will allow you to increase and reduce the thumbnail size. This is pretty much similar to how Control and the mouse wheel work in a Windows environment.
