If you haven’t played the Dead or Alive series before, you might have at the very least seen some screenshots or even the movie, which to be honest focuses more on the hot girls rather than on the action. That being said, while DoA 5 will not be offering additional characters for their DLCs, what they appear to be offering are some bonus items that users will be able to get if they were to either pre-order the game or were to purchase its Collector’s Edition, with the game itself expected to be released on the 25th of September.
These bonuses come in the form of swimsuits, with a pre-order on Amazon netting you the “Devils” black swimsuit costumes for three female characters – Christie, Tina and Ayane, while pre-orders made at GameStop will give players the “Angels” set of white swimsuits for fighters Kasumi, Leifang and Hitomi. However if you’d like to collect all the swimsuits along with some additional content, you will need to purchase the Collector’s Edition which is available exclusively through GameStop and will come with a steel case for the game, a hardcover art book, the game’s soundtrack and a poster of the entire cast of fighters. The Collector’s Edition will set you back $79.99. It’s admittedly gratuitous but we’re sure that there’s most definitely a market for it. So, who’s placing their pre-order?
