Sony premiered God of War: Ascension at E3 just yesterday and if you liked what you saw and you were planning on getting your hands on the game, Sony has also outed the collector’s edition of the game and detailed the pre-order bonuses in the process, thus giving gamers more incentive to purchase the game early and also to entice gamers looking for a limited edition version of the game. No word on how many copies of the Collector’s Edition will be made available, but Sony did mention that it would be a limited run so fans of the franchise will probably want to mark down the 12th of March 2013 which is when they will be able to get their hands on it.

According to Sony, the Collector’s Edition will feature an 8” statue of the game’s main character, Kratos. It will also come in a premium steel book game case with the official game soundtrack (digital version), a PS3 dynamic theme, a PSN avatar pack, double XP points for multiplayer along with a DLC pass that will unlock all future DLC releases for free! Not too bad for an asking price of $79.99, right? For those who pre-order the Collector’s Edition and the regular version of the game, Sony has also revealed that you guys will be able to download the Mythological Heroes Multiplayer DLC Pack. The regular version of the game will be available for $59.99 and will also be released on the 12th of March.
