Heads up Android users, if you’ve been looking forward to getting the WinZip app on your device you’re in luck as the app has finally arrived on the Google Play store. Just in case you’re not familiar, WinZip is/was a popular archiving tool used back on the PC in the day where it allowed users to compile multiple files into a single compressed one. Now that ability has been brought over onto Android devices and given that our smartphones are pretty much computers that we can put in our pockets, we guess WinZip functionality was only a matter of time coming. Just like the PC version, the WinZip app for Android will allow users to open both Zip and RAR files which makes sending multiple files to other Android/iOS users a breeze. If you’d like to get your hands on the app, head on over to the Google Play store for the download.
