If you’re waiting to watch TV series like True Blood, Entourage or Game of Thrones on Netflix, you’d better stop holding your breath. On Tuesday, Netflix raised the possibility of teaming up with HBO in a letter to its shareholders. However, before any discussions have even begun – it looks like that won’t be happening anytime soon. HBO announced today that they are in no discussions and have no plans to work with Netflix.
Seeing how HBO’s own streaming service, HBO GO is a direct competitor to Netflix, it was an unlikely partnership in the first place. But I guess one could always hope? It looks like TV viewers who want to stream shows like Girls or The Sopranos will still have to maintain their HBO GO subscription or obtain them in another way.
