Playing shooting games on your console could be fun with a regular controller, although we’re sure that more hardcore gamers out there want something a little more “realistic”, hence the need for gun-shaped controllers. Well if you’re in the market for such a device, All Interactive Entertainment has launched the MAG II controller which is currently up for pre-order on Amazon and Gamestop for $150, but what will you be getting in return for your hard-earned money?
According to the company, the MAG II will be capable of “movement sensing and gyroscopic induction motion tracking”, which basically means it will utilize accelerometers and gyroscopes built into the controller to sense movement, allowing players to aim the gun like they would a real gun, or at least simulate that experience to a certain extent. It will also feature a USB port in which firmware updates can be installed and according All Interactive Entertainment, it will also be a way to “unlock new functions and gameplay modes”. It will be compatible with both the PlayStation 3 and the PC.
