phonepadplus-640x483The ASUS Padfone was an interesting concept, essentially a smartphone that when plugged into its tablet accessory, would turn the entire device into a tablet. However if you thought that its specs could be better, here’s something worth checking out. Dubbed the PhonePad+, this is essentially the same concept that ASUS had with their Padfone, except that instead of only accepting a single type of phone, the PhonePad+ will play nice with Android devices, although at the moment it is limited to the Samsung Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3 and eventually the Galaxy S4.

As you can see in the image above, there is a slot that allows you to plug your phone in where it will then power its 10.1” 1024×600 display. Granted the resolution does leave something to be desired, for £149.99 it’s not too bad. The display can be docked in a variety of ways, from being propped up, swiveled and even slid down completely flat to double up as a tablet. Available in July, more information about the PhonePad+ can be had from its website.
