amazon-storytellerThere is nothing quite like sitting around a campfire, roasting some marshmallows and sipping on hot cocoa as one person regales to the rest a riveting tale that is filled with suspense, romance, grief, and betrayal. Well, such a scenario is most probably a thing of the past, so it is interesting to hear that Amazon has just launched Amazon Storyteller, a computer program that will enable script writers to transform whatever they write into actual story boards.

Amazon Storyteller remains in beta at the moment, where this free web tool will not only allow aspiring and veteran writers to build out their work into story board form, with characters and dialogue included, but it also allows users to share what they have been working on, while inviting others who are like minded to collaborate as well. It works this way – you scan a movie script that has already been uploaded to Amazon Studios, where Storyteller will then locate the scenes, locations and characters from scene descriptions and “casts” them automatically from a massive library that carries just about all characters, props and backgrounds. Now, everyone can come up with a story board!
