jvc-camRugged cameras have their appeal, especially with the more action-oriented crowd who needs a device that will be able to withstand their rugged activities, such as skateboarding, kayaking, dirt biking and etc. Well if you’re in the market for a new rugged camera, JVC has something for you worth taking a look at. Dubbed the GC-XA2, this rugged camera will be part of the company’s ADIXXION series and should be made available come early August, although the pricing of the camera remains unknown.

As far as its specs are concerned, the GC-XA2 will sport 7.99 million pixels, a 1/3.2” backside illumination CMOS image sensor, a 1.5” display, 5x digital zoom, although we guess the key feature would be its Full HD 1080p/60p mode and its rugged body that will be dustproof, shockproof, and waterproof up to 5m, and temperature resistant up to -10C. It will also come with a f/2.4 lens and will sport WiFi capabilities that will allow wireless transfer of photos and videos.
